2022.10.30 Start Bakewell Bus Terminus SK.218:685, SE on roads passing the P.C. and continuing on Granby Croft (Rd) to cross FB on River Wye at SK.220:684 ~ESE then join & follow a path (on the North side of Agricultural Way) ~SSE then along (generally above) The River Wye and cross it on FB at SK.231:663 then onto Haddon Rd (A6) at SK.232:664, follow Road for ~ 1km ~ESE, pass the B5056 Rd then take the next road (sign posted Congreave), on the map this road is Stantonhall Lane, follow this lane ~SE for ~500m & take FP ~S turning ~SSE to Sch in Stanton in The Peak, continue on School Lane to Main Rd turn ~ESE past Church then ~S then ~ESE (passing road turn-off to Birchover) & continue ~ENE on Lees Rd (thru Sheepwalk Wood), then at SK.246:642 turn off on FP ~SSE to Nine Ladies Stone Circle, then turn SSW on FP to just past unseen ‘Cairn’ & turn ~W on FP passing Cork Stone to join Birchover Road & ~S down it to turn off ~W at SK.241:624 into woods (Dungeon Plantation) but then turning directly WSW, at SK.238:622 turnoff SSW down into Birchover (near PC), (we sheltered under covered bus stop while heavy rain storm hit us), continue ~W on road past Druid Inn, then W on path past small Church at SK.236:621 & at SK.233:622 turn on FP WSW down to un-named Road at SK.229:620, follow road ~S for 150m then U – turn ~N onto the Limestone Way (took lunch break some distance up sheltered from further heavy rain storm by trees) and then continued up to pass Robin Hoods Stride, & continue NNW to Road / entrance of Harthill Moor Farm, but we continued ~NNE on road to turn at SK.224:630 WNW into woods then SSW out of woods to SK.219:630, ~NNW for ~1km to cross the River Bradford at SK.213:640, short distance ~W along River then then skewed up narrow paved FP then Rd to pass small Church (SK.210:642) (PC also nearby), N / W / N on roads to join (off Moor Lane) FP at SK.207:645, ~NNW (crossing Back Lane) and on to Meadow Place Grange, ~N thru Farmyard to woods at SK.201:660, steeply down ‘bank’ E / W then N across The River Lathkill, zig-zag steeply up to PC at SK.203:664, ~E thru Over Haddon to PH, on path ~E then WNW to Road, & follow Eastward (to North of Noton Barn), continue N on Rd for ~140m (to a road bend), & continue N on FP for about 600m, then path skews ~NNE towards cemeteries, continue NNE & at SK217.677 turn down steeply then pass thru houses, to cross Haddon Rd at SK.220:681, ~N thru Park then ~NNW back to Start.
