** 2022.09.11 'Millersdale Railway Station' SK.138:732 (This once Station - with P.Cs & cafe is near a 'Pay' Parking Area on the Monsal Trail), go Eastward on trail (with common use by walkers and cyclists - views unfortunately largely blocked by railway cuttings & vegetation between tunnels), thru Litton Tunnel*1 then Cressbrook Tunnel*1, trail emerges SE at portal, then ~800m ahead just pass old railway platform, turn S then U-turn NNW passing under the Monsal Trail at SK.178:719, continue down to cross bridge at SK.177:721 over River Wye (just to West of Upperdale Farm) & go up to road, follow road NW / NNW / N just past Cressbrook Mill, turning off on FP (not shown on map?) at SK173:727 W then N to the edge of The River Wye , (in Water-cum- Jolly Dale), follow River Westward on Concessionary Path on its Northern bank to Litton Mill, at Mill turn N then W for ~100m to SK.160:730, turn off NNE on Path up to Litton Slack continue NNE on Road up to Bottomhill Rd & New Houses, continue ~N on road passing Cemetery, take right-hand Road Fork Northward into Litton, turning left to the old Post Office (now a community run shop) for 'refreshment', WNW on Church Lane to Tideswell (take FP at end down towards Tideswells Church, Cathedral in the Peak, before road turns NNE), SW to Tideswells PC & Bus Stop*2

(*1 Tunnels are lit - but best to wear light coloured gear to warn cyclists, further for the more adventurous (& experienced) walkers tracks above tunnels give very good views. *2 buses to from Tideswell are infrequent and the information posted at bus stop was found to be incorrect - check with bus companies before you go to / from Tideswell and possibly get marooned for the night. Two on walk.
