2021.09.15** Solo walk on Wednesday - by train to Lincoln, - North mainly up 'pedestrian only streets to Cathedral Quarter / then West thru &  East around the North side of the Castle (did not pay to see inside buildings & exhibits). Saw outside views of Cathedral, & paid to see inside Cathedral (taking photos permitted). Followed 'Viking Way' (unmarked on ground) to East on South side of Cathedral then SE down Pottergate, then E along Lindum Terrace  to and East thru Arboretum. Continued East below Hospital then thru Houses and then Industrial Estate. East along rail track to cross on unprotected crossing at TF004.714 Continued along track to new major 'ring road' to East of Lincoln (many new path gates but routes as yet unmarked). Left Viking Way & joined cycle track ~S then ~SSW on edge of 'new' major 'ring road'. At TF003.707 U-turned N to join cycle & walking  track, ~West along River Witham back to Lincoln - unfortunately River Within on much of length screened from view by trees - but later good long distance views of Cathedral.
