2023.01.25 Wednesday - Start Bus Stop at SK.235:815 on Main Rd A618, (presumed route?) SSW for a few metres down B6001 Rd then SSW down Mill Rd & under Railway Bridge at SK.219:813, turn SW on Rd then join FP ~SW (toward Sewage Plant), join B6001 Rd. and cross ~S over The River Derwent on Leadmill Bridge, turn directly thru stile & follow FP ~W on edge of River turning ~NW then ~W to reach the Stepping Stones SK.217:815, turn SW on FP to pass between Offerton Hall & Offerton House, continue into OAL (Offerton Moor) ~SSW for about 100m then ~W upward for ~250m and turn ~SSW to the top of Offerton Edge, continue ~SW to cross Siney Sitch and then to leave OAL at SK.201:801, turn ~S down to Abney Rd, ~250m ~W along Rd then turn SE down into Abney Clough, follow Clough (well above stream level) ~SE / E / SE / S down to Stoke Ford SK211:795, ~S along Bretton Brook (past Highlow Brook Path) to SK.211:794 and turn ~E for 150m then ~S (~220m to East of Bretton Brook) up to SK.211:789, turn ~E and follow 'middle path' SE thru Gotherage Plantation which turns gradually S to cross Sir William Hill Rd at SK.218:779, continue ~S (passing Ladywash Farm & Ladywash Mine both some distance away to the East) thru Bole Hill to cross minor road at ~SK.218:772, then very steeply downwards ~SE to cross Edge Road at SK.220:7769, then SSW down passing cemetery and Church to Church Street, ~E past the School, The Square, The Causeway, & turning off (near the start of New Road) ~NE up Riley Back Lane (a dead end Road), then ~N up thru Hollow Brook Wood to join Edge Road at SK.223:770, ~N on Edge Rd  to cross Sir William Hill at SK.225:780, NE / NNE / N to Road at Leam SK231:793, N / NNE on Rd, but at sharp bend in rd cut steeply down N on FP to Hazelford Hall, (Photographer who caught train as no suitable bus from Chapeltown)) followed very narrow lane down ~NNE to to join the A6001 Road about 300m south of Leadmill Bridge / The River Derwent, and continued NNW towards Hathersage 'V' turning off at the Train Station. Rest of party possibly followed different route(s) back to bus or cars in Hathersage.           Leader - Pauline Heather - 20 in party. Distance about 11+ miles.
