This pond is apparently the headrace.
 
 
The actual 'mill' is in the lower building. The waterwheel is behind the opening to the left but not easy to see in the dark.

The reservoir was built to supply water to the Worsbrough branch of the Dearne and Dove Canal and it was completed in 1804. It was enlarged in 1826, when the depth was increased by about 1.5 metres. Two new spillways were installed in 1984 to comply with the Reservoirs Safety Act.

This large stone obelisk in Rainborough Park is in the memory of Queen Anne next to Queen Annes Lodge It was commissioned by Thomas Wentworth in 1733 in memory of his friend and mentor, Queen Anne, who had died 20 years earlier.

the safer crossing option is a steel footbridge (which replaced an earlier wooden bridge).
These grit? stone stepping stones over the River Don with much dished wear look as if they were used for centuries and by many persons (can't find a full history)
