2023.03.01 Wednesday - Start Grindleford Station but at corner of Cafe SK.251:788 then SE up tarred FP to & across B6521 Road up to junct in FPs at SK.253:786 and turn SW for about 50m then S for about 30m, turn E then gradually S up to to Tumbling Hill at SK.254:781 (tea break), ~SE then S passing Parking Area (on West side), ~S crossing brook then SW up to the A625 Rd SK.255:776, ~SE on road for a short distance the then V turn up onto FP - NW on FP turning ~SSW along start of Froggatt Edge, after ~.09km inspect Stone Circle then continue joining & following Curbar Edge ~SW/SSE (for best views follow informal paths closer to edge rather than track which is away from Edges - but exercise care), short of the road between Curbar and Baslow Edges turn ~E thru the Parking Area then NE alongside Fields and over Sandyford Brook and up to cross White Edge (near its East end), ~NNE thru Big Moor thru a Field system heading to & along Bar Brook (on its West side) to a small un-named dam at SK.255:776 (lunch break), cross Bar Brook over bridge at North of small dam and follow track ~NNE past buildings just to the East side (SK.282:771) of the Breached Reservoir Embankment / spillway, follow path ~NNW / W / N (part only along Bar Brook) up to B6054 Road, access thru Dry Stone Wall at SK.277:786 not passable, followed road NW for 200m and U turned back to cross road at foregoing intended point, NE then ~N up to Moss Road (on Sheffield Country Walk, ~W (passing to South of Rail tunnel airshaft) then continue to then cross 'V' Road Junction A6187 at SK.268:795, continue W then S (down stone steps) to SK.669:794, W on unmarked grass path for 600m, then S on sandy FP for 200m, ~NW crossing un-named brook to short of houses at SK.256:795 turning SW to reach B5621 Road and SW along it for 50m before crossing Road W into woods, FP SW down then short distance N to / across bridge over Burbage Brook at SK.252:792, then NNE up steep bank, V turn SW on top of bank, then turn S on tarred road towards station & Cafe. ENE to cross Burbage Brook then S over rail-bridge to Cafe. (Apologies if I (A C A) have got this wrong).
