2023.01.03 Tuesday - Start Worrall Village SK.308:920, ~W along Kirk Edge Rd to just past Kirk Edge Drive, ~S then SW thru fields to pass Low Ash Farm (buildings) to SK.300:915, ~W along track on Low Ash Common to just before SK.295:915, turn ~S then turn W passing well below Haigenfield Farm and continuing ~W on FP to join Holdworth Lane at SK.288:915, ~WNW on H.Lane & pass Stony Lane to next Road Junction taking W road and gradually turning ~S down to next junction and take Dalroyd Lane just W but turn ~S on FP steeply down to Low Holdworth to join Loxley Rd (B6077) at SK.284:908, and follow it ~ESE (passing Damflask Reser Embkmt) for ~500m to join rd ~WSW thru Stacey Bank turning turning SSE along Damflask tailrace then at the Fishing Pond ESE along it and continuing to the Dam (before Old Wheel Farm) and continue ~SE along the Dam to pass the Bowling Green ~SSE then ~E to cross Rowell Lane and continue Eastward (on the North side of The River Loxley) passing South of the Cemetery and gradually turning ENE to Wisewood and turning ~SE passing the 'new Archimedean Screw turbine' generating electricity and then the old headrace pond (before the residences for older citizens), continue ~E to rejoin Loxley Rd and then ~E along it to the Super Tram Terminus at Malin Bridge. Leader Mary Sorsby - 18 on walk. Distance as walked about 6 miles Light rain throughout walk and that (plus camera automatic functioning not operating properly) made for poor quality and reduced number of pictures.
