2022.08.07 Start Main Street Hathersage at ~SK280:815, ~ENE on Besom Lane, ~N on Baulk Lane to Road ~E passing Bronte Cottage, ~NNE to North Lees, then  ENE (NW at end to PCs on Road, cross road then NNE then N thru thru Stanage Plantation, up ~N to Stanage Edge, then~NNW crossing Long Causeway, continue along top of Stanage Edge initially WNW and pass Trig Point at High Neb, pass above Crow Chin (along top edge), continue ~N to Stanage End ~SK226:866, go down to lower path then ~NNE (to West of Boundary stones -unseen?), turning N to reach and cross the A57 Road at SK231:879, ~N passing Moscar Lodge then the ‘actual’ Moscar Stone Cross (against the Drystone Wall position not marked on OS map) route bends ~W into Moscar Cross Road and continues down to Sugworth Road (tarred), continue SW (a short distance on  it), cross Strines / Mortimer Rd, SSW on track to and thru Moscar House, continue WSW to cross Brook then S to cross A57 Road at Cutthroat Bridge, climb over stile, turn SE  from stile then ~E for about 300m on an informal path up thru OAL to SK217:873, turn SW/S above Hordron Edge to pass (& see) Stone Circle at SK215:869, continue S, passing a track E (along some grouse butts), turn ~W to cross Jarvis Clough at SK216:862, continue W to some other grouse butts and follow these ~N to bottom of a disused quarry, turn ~W across a stream at SK210:864, join an informal path turning ~S through Pillars, then ~SW short of a Hut Circle,  ~S to Great Tor, follow Bamford Edge ~SE, then SSE down from Edge to Junction at SK214:840 of New Road & Leeside Rd, steeply down Leeside Road a tarred track (not open to vehicles or horses & people with weak knee should avoid it), at bottom SK209:836 take Joan Lane ~SSE, at SK210:834 take FP ~E (well below The Tucker), then at boundary enter and cross woods (to West of Bamford Filters), ~ S to junction SK213:830 of Joan Lane & Saltergate Lane , FP ~SSE into Sickleholme Golf Club then ~ESE passing Shawhay Barn, cross brook at SK221:824, continue to Thorpe Farm (ice cream break), continue ESE to Coggers Lane, and SSE down it but turning SW at end to join minor road SE then E into Hathersage.
