2022.03.02 Grindleford Stn (SK251.757), ~E to Stn Cafe,
FP~ESE up to B6521 Rd at SK252.787, and cross ~S to follow Private
Tedgness Rd ~S to SK252.784, take FP ~SSE thru Hay Wood, at SK256.778
turn ~S on FP on edge of woods and cross 'brook' then up to the A625 Rd,
follow rd ~NW for ~100m (crossing to its S-side to join FP~SSW along Froggatt
Edge and turning on Edge ~SSE to join & follow Curbar Edge to
West side of The Parking Area, cross Clodhill Laneb and follow it ~W for
about 100m, take BW (to E of Baslow Edge) ~S to pass on the W-
side of Eagle Stone, at SK263.737 take Bar Rd (a BW) ~WSW
but turn ~W thru disused Quarry to join BW ~N for ~100m then turning NW
then N to W-side of Burial Ground to stile at ~SK256.746 on the edge of
Bar Rd (a tarmac road from the Curbar Edge / Baslow Edge 'gap'), follow
road down to join & follow Curbar Hill (rd), down to the minor rd (before
the A623) running NW crossing The River Derwent, soon turn
~N to Stocking Farm to the Goit, follow the Goit N / NW to cross
the A625 Rd at New Bridge, follow The River Derwent
(on it's W-side) ~N to and across Froggatt Bridge, continue ~N on
the DVHW, crossing the B6521 Rd and continuing to SK241.795 (near
River) & V-turn ~SSE up to a Bridge over thev RW at SK243.793,
follow FP / Track / Road on the N-side of the Railway Track past
Padley Chapel generally SW back to Grindleford Stn. Wednesday Walk -
leader Dave Jefferies - about 10.5 miles - 17 on walk. (Note rainy / misty
weather stopped picture taking on the upper edges - Froggatt, Curbar, Baslow and
only recommenced below Baslow Edge)
