2020.10.14 Ramblers social distancing walk with 6 persons.
Start bus stop at SK207824 just off A621 rd (~100m SW of Bamford
Stn), ~WNW on access rd (Mytham Bridge), FB over River Derwent
& along A618 rd to end of Garden Centre SK203826, ~N under
Railtrack then ~NW to Quaker Centre, track NNW (not
D.V.H.Way) to join tarred Thornhill Lane at SK199834, follow rd then
path alongside rd to SK192837, SW then W on FP to cross rd at SK186834 (Ryecroft),
continue W to cross SW on rd under Railtrack at SK178835, ~SW to
Station Rd then directly NNW along River Noe for about 400m, turn ~E
to cross under Railtrack at SK175837 ~W to pass Farfield Farm,
before Aston at SK182839 turn ~N up to Edge Farm, BW ~NNW for ~2km
passing well above Twitchill Farm / thru Top Plantation / along
Hope Bank up to gate at SK173861 (south of Wooler Knoll), ~ENE / NNW
/ NE thru woods to SK174865, follow path eastward winding thru Wiseman Hey
Clough Plantation passing New Barn & The Springs turning
South to reach Ladybower Reservoir Embankment at SK198855, follow road
then D.V.H. Way (old dam construction rail track) South to
SK197848, branch off ~SSW up to SK195840, turn ~SE crossing a road and
then D.V.H.Way at SK200836, ~ESE to Bamford Mill, cross River
Derwent & ~NE past millpond, but then U turn around Mill buildings ~S on
access road to meet Station Rd, ~400m South on Stn Rd, turn ~S
thru Caravan Park passing under Railtrack and following River Derwent
to Mytham Bridge & start - leader Angela Coles - Wednesday
