2020.09.30 Sheffield Ramblers Social Distancing Walk with 13
people, train from Sheffield to Kiveton Bridge (Rlwy Station), N up to to
Station Rd & follow it ~E, at SK493830 take FP ~NE to join Kiveton
Lane at SK497834 and follow ~N for ~150m, FP ~E thru Kiveton Hall Farm
continuing to Axle Lane then ENE along West Street (to
Methodist Church) then NE to cross A57 Rd then Railtrack ~150m beyond it
on B6060 Rd (Ryton Rd), join FP on North side of Anston Brook, and
follow brook ~ESE thru Sykes Plantation to Worksop Rd (A57) at
SK537828, follow A57 for ~100m and cross it SSE into Lindrick Dale (an
access road) & follow, at SK540820 continue ~S into floor of disused quarry,
turn NW then 'U' turn SE above the top quarry edge, continue ~E thru Moses
Seat to SK547821, turn S down to Brancliffe Grange, follow 'canal
feeder' ~WSW down to rail track at SK542816 and cross it, continue
~SSE to Chesterfield Canal joining it at SK542814 (at Little Lane),
Westward (on north tow path) to Packman Lane (Kiveton Park
Rlwy Stn), but cross bridge ~S over canal and follow south canal tow path
~W to the now bricked up tunnel portal at SK500826, continue ~WSW to Hand
Lane SK495825, track WNW past North side of Kiveton Waters, continue
on road to Kiveton Bridge Rlwy Stn - leader Mike West - Wednesday
