2017.11.01 ** Over Haddon (car park on it's west side), down road to River Lathkill, cross Footbridge, then up to Meadow Place Grange farm, FPs ~SSE to Youlgreave, All Saints Church, ~ SSE on rd down to River Bradford & follow it upstream, turn ~ WSW up to Middleton, follow Rd ~ NNE past Lomberdale Hall, join Limestone Way ~ WSW, Calling Low farm, steps down into Cales Dale & ~ NE to Lathkill Dale, follow River Lathkill downstream, & retrace way up to Over Haddon (car park) - leader Andrea Allsopp - Wednesday - circuit about 10miles

Youlegreave village contains this water tank holding 12,000 gallons and is known as the The Fountain. Water was piped up from The River Bradford in the 19th century.

'reasons of health and safety' was a game shooting party on what is a 'private way' generally but not always open to the public

piers fenced off here were apparently for a bridge from the mine - transporting ore to where it could be re-handled on a track near the river?
