Manor Farm - also now a B&B - It was once the home of Anthony Babington, executed for his ill-fated plot to rescue Mary Queen of Scots and put her on the throne of England after assassinating Elizabeth I. The plot also resulted in Mary's execution. |

We turned past this barn near Lea. (Leas most notable family is the Nightingales - Florence Nightingale stayed at Lea Hurst during the 1880s, nursed her mother and rendered charitable work in the nearby areas) |
