2014.07.23 - Derwent Valley Heritage Way - Derby to Derwent Mouth* - leaders Angela Coles, Ruth Ashford, Gillian Manasse - Wednesday. (This was the last of 5 walks)

* Derby Railway Station, along River Derwent downstream on right bank (touching Alvaston Park's Lake), break off to Ambaston, Shardlow, then to & along Trent and Mersey Canal to the confluence of the River Derwent into the River Trent, return along canal to B5010

 
Midland Railway Institute (previous picture is also part of this Institute). now used for other purposes.
 
In an earlier era this was the inn for 2nd Class passengers - 1st Class passengers went elsewhere.
