Walks in the Alps from Bewang in Austria - in June / July 2016
on Holiday organised & led by Alpine Overland (Colne, Lancashire)

2016.07.07 - coach just East of Lahn - Gartner Alm 1399m -
Sommerbergjochle 2001m - Bichlbachler Alpe 1606m - Bergmandl 1278m -

2016.07.06 - coach to Imst. Unfortunately
Rosengartenschlucht Gorge found to be closed by storm damage and another
route was followed up to Hoch Imst. Here a cable lift was taken to the
Middle Station. The path up to the viewing platform was also found to be
closed due to storm damage. As an alternative a steep grass slope under top
cable lift was climbed to the viewing platforms. Descended back down grass
slope then full distance to Imst. 'A' walk Wednesday - leader Keith
2016.07.05 - coach to Hofen, cable lift up to Hofener Alm -
then ascended towards Gaichtspitze Tower 1986m (3 of party climbed it) - traverse to Lechaschauer Alm - descended to
Hofen. 'A' walk Tuesday - leader Keith
2016.07.04 - visit to Munich (one photograph) - a few
pictures taken in the evening from the Hotel Blitz at Bewang of Zugspitze
with the sun setting on it
2016.07.03 - walk from Blitz Hotel, Bewang up & down
Thaneller 2341m - 'A' walk on Sunday - leader Keith. (Three of party
followed an alternative more difficult route down to near the suspension
bridge)
2016.07.02 - walk from Blitz Hotel, Berwang - up Alpelesbach
(stream) - Alpele - Wetterkreuz 2052m - Joch - Honig - Sattelkopf -
Kogelehutte, Kogelweg - Bewang. 'A' walk on Saturday - leader Keith.
(We met the 'B' walk led by Peter at Wetterkreuz and both parties returned
down the same way on a very slippery path after rain)
2016.07.01 - coach to Ehrewalder Almbahn and up cable lift -
walk to Coburger Hutte - Seeben See (& around it) - back to cable station -
then walked down to lower station - 'B' walk on Friday - leader Peter
2016.06.30 - local bus to
Ehrenberg Suspension Bridge - up to bridge and crossing there & back - walked around ruins of castle - down
and then along forest trails to Rieden - further trails to Rinnen - Bewang -
'A' walk Thursday - leader Keith
2016.06.29 all groups in coach to Vilalpsee - 'A' & 'B'
groups separately up to Travalpsee & Landsberger Hutte 1805m. 'A' group
makes circuit near hut around an unnamed lake before descending and then a
further circuit around the Vilalpsee at bottom. Walks on Wednesday - 'A'

2016.06.28 - walk from Blitz Hotel, Bewang - Rinnen - Reuttener Hutte - Sennalpe Raaz, Hutte Alm - Galtjoch 2019m - Rinnen - local bus back to Bewang - 'A' walk Tuesday - leader Keith
